Obituary

Marcia Anita Hill was born March 9, 1952 to the parentage of T.Y. and Berneice S. Pearson of Fairfield, Alabama. She was the second of four children born to this union: Leneice, Marcia, Linda and Steven. She was educated at the George Washington Carver High School in Bessemer, Alabama.

Marcia was the love of John A. Hill of Brockton, MA and brought much joy to this union. Her two children: Alandra Benders and Rosba Taylor, Sr. made her life full and joyful. They expanded her life and its fulfillment with the birth of her grandchildren and great grands.

Marcia confessed Christ at an early age and tried to walk the path chosen for her. She was a spirited person and fondly known as an advocate of the underdog, especially children. Never one to forget the birthdays of her grands, she made children know how special they were to her. She was employed in the Brockton Public School system for approximately 9 years as a floating nutritionist in the school lunch program at the elementary school setting. She made sure that children received respect and courtesy when in her presence.

Her favorite past times included watching westerns and Hot Bench courtroom drama. Known for her colorful expressions, she was a family favorite and loved by many.

She leaves a legacy of a loving family in celebration of her life: two children – Alandra Benders/Robert of Enterprise, AL; Rosba Taylor, Sr./Celeste of Lynn, MA; three siblings: Leneice Williams/Jerome of Stoughton, MA, Linda Kay Pearson of Bessemer, AL, and Steven M. Pearson/Faith of Hampton, VA; one aunt: Ann Kelly of Bessemer, AL and two uncles: George Stevenson of Newark, NJ and Dalton Benson/Lynell of Los Angeles, CA. She was blessed with seven grandchildren: Rosbaunna Taylor, Rosba Taylor, Jr. , Devena Heard, Robert Benders, Jr., Raekwon Benders, Marcus Taylor and Rianna Benders; six great grands, and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and family members.

There will be a Viewing on Monday March 4, 2019 from 10:00 to 11:00am followed by Funeral Service at 11:00 O’clock at Messiah Baptist Church, 80 Legion Pkwy Brockton, MA 02301.

To the family of Ms Marcia Anita Hill, I am very sorry for your loss. The gift of life as it was passed on through a breath of air into the nostrils of the first man, meant life The beauty of life never grows old and is never an uneventful occasion, there is always enough joy for all, hugs and kisses abound. In the resurrection we will have more joy to go around, because we will regain those we love. Rev21:4

I am so sorry for the loss of your beloved Marcia. This is never easy to face, in fact death can be viewed as an enemy. That's how our Creator Jehovah views it as according to 1 Cor. 15:26; which says, "And the last enemy, death, is to be brought to nothing." May you find comfort in knowing this and that he has a longing to conquer that enemy, to undo death by means of the resurrection. Please visit jw.org for more comforting information.
