Mary L. Jackson was born in Eastman, Ga to the late Charles and Sally Jackson. Mary’s Family moved to Pompano Beach Fla where she received her education. Mary later moved to Boston, Mass with her children. Where she later became a teacher aide at the Gertude E. Townsen Head Start.

Mary loved church and she joined Holy Tabernacle Church under the pastorate of Bishop Joe L. Smith and Later Bishop Dr. Arthur F. Jack. She worked diligently with the Food Pantry was a member of the Usher Board and Holy Tabernacle Choir. She loved her choir. She was a devoted member until her health failed her. She slept away Eater Sunday 4/21/2019 at 1:15pm at the Sherril House.
Mary was a woman of class and distinction with a wonderful sense of humor and quick wit. Always the lady, she was a savvy dresser and loved her jewelry and hats. She hung on to every one of them – “oldies but goodies” she would say. She loved to shop. And travel to New York, Delaware, Connecticut, Georgia and Florida.
Mary leaves to mourn and cherish her memories her siblings Charles Jackson Jr. of Ft. Lauderdale and Elizabeth Scott of Adel, Ga. She leaves her children Marylin Jackson, Winton Ward, Debra Parrish and Vincent Parrish. Her grandchildren Lakisha McNaughton (whom Mary raised) Tamara Johnson, Chandre Jackson Sophia Bradshaw, Makeada Parrish, Furquan Ahmad Powell, Lasha Powell and Barkim Parrish-Powell, Shantice Jackson and Kristina McNaughton. She has more Grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren with a 10th on the way, And a host of other relatives and friends.
There will be a Viewing on Monday April 29, 2019 from 6:00 to 7:00pm followed by Funeral Services at 7:00 O’clock at Holy Tabernacle Church Dorchester 70 Washington Street, Dorchester, MA 02121
