On Tuesday June 25, Gloria Joyce McLean passed away peacefully at the Boston Medical Center. Gloria was born on July 25, 1946 in Porus, Manchester Jamaica. she was one of several children of Dacas McLean and Dorit Wilson.

Gloria attended the Porus all age school and upon finishing school she moved to Kingston settling in the Allman Town area. She was the office/kitchen attendant for many years at the Burroughs Corporation in Cross Roads.
In 1985 Gloria migrated to Boston Massachusetts where she joined her sisters and extended family members. Gloria was well known for her culinary skills having been the cook at the legendary Colecos lounge as well as the Rolls in Mattapan Square.
Gloria is greatly mourned and is survived by her three sons, Garfield, Gary and Germain, her only daughter Karen(Toronto), grandchildren Devonte, Kayla, Kevetia, Shakira, Ashley and Maia. Also left to mourn her are her sisters Gwendolyn Laylor(Miami), Mrs. Pauline Graham(Orlando) her brother Gilbert McLean (New York), several nieces and nephews and many cousins in New York and Jamaica.
The family would like to genuinely express heartfelt thanks for the many kind and thoughtful expressions of sympathy and love shown during this time of bereavement. We thank the nursing staff at the Benjamin Nursing Home for the care they provided Gloria during her stays there.
