Clara Lee Johnson, daughter of the late Walter and Lynn Kelly Johnson was born in Franklinton, North Carolina on January 18, 1939. On Tuesday, January 14, 2020 she quietly transitioned from her earthly body after her battle with cancer.

She was educated in the Franklin County Public School System. At an early age, she joined the Allen Chapel Baptist Church in Louisburg, North Carolina. Clara left North Carolina during her younger years and relocated to Boston, Massachusetts where she built her home.
Clara worked at the Suburban Home Health Care as a homemaker throughout the Greater Boston area. After working there for many years, caring for the elderly, she retired.
Clara was an easy going person not very talkative but she loved her family. She also loved shopping with her sisters and daughter. She enjoyed walking and telling stories about her childhood. She also enjoyed seeing and playing with her grandchildren and listening to her radio.
Clara was preceded in death by thirteen of her beloved siblings and her beloved son, William Johnson.
Clara leaves behind her loved ones to remember her: one daughter, Christella Parry of Boston, MA; three sisters, Katie Kearney (Felix) of Franklinton, NC, Precolia Burwell and Gladys Johnson of Boston, MA. Two sister-in-laws, Marie Johnson of Hyde Park, MA and Edith Johnson, Franklinton, NC: three grandchildren, Alexis and Brandon Parry and William Strand; three great-grandchildren, Ghistla Williams-Bly, Khamya Reid-Parry and Anaja Walker and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and long-time companion, William Burwell.
